Skateboard life...

Not many people outside of the culture of skateboarding realizes that the life of a skateboard deck in a professional use is quite short (sometimes it might be only a few weeks or even a few days).

Everyday, thousands of skaters around the world produce large quantities of wood waste that we decided to collect and creatively use following our passion. Each skateboard deck is made from seven compressed layers of Canadian maple, which are dyed in various colors during the skateboard manufacturing process. Inspired by these facts, we created BoardThing - handmade rings from discarded skateboards wood.

Piotr and Sebastian grew up on skateboards, each carving his own path but driven by the same energy - the freedom, creativity, and community that skateboarding gives.
Together, they carry more than 20 years on a board, countless memories, falls, wins, and the quiet wisdom that comes from dedicating yourself to something you love.

Sebastian, raised in Kraków, spent his early life mastering the streets and became atwo-time Polish champion in the street category. His journey with BoardThing opened the door to a new chapter - one built on freedom and purpose. It led him to the mountains of Rabka-Zdrój, where he now lives surrounded by nature. Here, in a peaceful mountain setting, lies the BoardThing workshop - the heart of the brand.

Piotr, a craftsman at soul, has spent most of his life shaping wood, creating things slowly and intentionally. He transforms discarded skateboard decks into rings, letting their stories live on through color, texture, and form. His love for mountains, snowboarding, and photography inspires the aesthetic and sensitivity behind every piece created at BoardThing.

Together, they share a deep passion for outdoor life, adventure, craftsmanship, and sustainability.
They believe that meaningful things are not mass-produced - they are shaped slowly, by hand, with respect for the materials and for the stories they carry.

BoardThing is more than jewelry. It’s a tribute to the culture that shaped them, the mountains they call home, and the belief that even something broken can be reborn into something beautiful.

Every ring reflects that journey - from skateboard deck to a piece of wearable art created in a small workshop in the southern Polish mountains.
